What is Creature Weekend?
Creature Weekend is a conference dedicated to the exploration and discussion of Cryptozoology. Held annually in Cambridge, Ohio, the conference attracts researchers from all over the USA and features speakers on various cryptozoological topics. Whether you are an experienced researcher, armchair enthusiast, or someone who would like to learn about the exciting field of cryptozoology, Creature Weekend offers something for everyone in a friendly and fun environment. We regularly have workshops that teach beginners and veterans the proper way to collect potential evidence for the existence of Cryptids and offer hikes into the field for a real investigative experience. We also sponsor a Summer Campout that is a family friendly way to share your experiences and best practices in the field with others who share your passion.
What is Cryptozoology?
Cryptozoology is the study of hidden animals, i.e. animals that have yet to be identified by science or thought to have been long extinct. Bigfoot, Dogmen, The Abominable Snowman, The Loch Ness Monster, Thunderbirds and many other mysterious and elusive creatures fall into this category.

A huge thanks goes out to Nicola O'Riordan Finley for her Crypto Art Submission! "Nicola O’Riordan Finley, from Hockley, England. Married to Thomas Finley. I have always done art and craft most of it self-taught. I do a lot of crafts for the Grandkids and family." For more details about Nicola or her Mountain Monsters Zippered Pillow Case click <HERE>. |

Big News! Creature Weekend is extremely excited to announce that "The Beast of Whitehall : The Abair Road Incident" will be shown during the Dinner Break at the Creature Weekend Conference on June 4, 2016. "The Beast of Whitehall" is an award-winning film recounting the chilling sightings of the beast of Whitehall in the summer of 1976 in Upstate NY. Seth Breedlove, the film’s director and editor, has created Beast of Whitehall, an atmospheric film that will intrigue anyone with an interest in the timeless legend of Bigfoot, or other similar community lore surrounding creatures that appear to have no rational or scientific explanation. The film is about the mysterious sightings of an unidentified beast in Whitehall in August 1976. A number of eyewitnesses, including members of law enforcement agencies, saw a strange, huge, hairy, man-like creature in the Adirondack region, in the northeastern part of upstate New York. Discounted tickets to the Creature Weekend Conference will only be available online until May 29. |
