Twas the week before Creature Weekend when all through the Park, all the Creatures were waiting... until it got dark...
Creature Weekend 2012 is only a week away! Now that we are on the home stretch, It's time for another update. The Weather forecast for Creature Weekend is favorable -- Sunny, with highs in the 80's and lows in the mid 50's. This will make for awesome BBQ and Bonfire weather!
Everyone who preregistered and provided a return email address on their registration form should have received their confirmation emails by now. If you have not purchased a ticket for the event, you can purchase tickets at the conference if we have seats available. The registration desk opens at 3:30PM on Saturday. Get there early because it’s going to be a packed house!
As predicted, all of the cabins are sold out and we have less than 8 rooms available at the lodge. If you haven't reserved your room yet, you better do so before they're gone!
The BBQ on Saturday is sold out! This event is going to be a lot of fun. It will be interesting to hear/see people’s evidence. If you are local or are driving to the Conference this weekend, we ask that you bring your camp chairs. We have over 100 people attending the BBQ Lunch event and it looks like we are running short of chairs. If you didn’t sign up for the BBQ lunch event, you can still come to the event and examine the evidence that people have brought.
Due to the overwhelming response to the tour and workshops on Sunday, we ask that everyone who signed up for the tour, report to the lodge at 9:30AM on Sunday. This will give us time to break you up into groups and give you some preliminary instructions for the tour.

What is Creature Weekend 2012?
Creature Weekend is Cambridge, Ohio's first annual Cryptozoology Conference which will be held at the Salt Fork State Park Lodge and Conference Center on May 18-20, 2012.
What is Cryptozoology?
Cryptozoology is the study of hidden animals, i.e. animals that have yet to be identified by science or thought to have been long extinct. Bigfoot, Dogmen, The Abominable Snowman, The Loch Ness Monster, Thunderbirds and many other mysterious and elusive creatures fall into this category.
